This semi-permanent lip color will gradually fade over 2 years - giving you long-lasting, natural color! How Does the Treatment Work?

Permanent Makeup for Lips is performed with a permanent makeup machine.
It’s specifically designed to create a subtle, natural-effect on the lips.

This treatment reinforces the shape and accomplishes a ‘natural’ look to the lip, while avoiding
any harsh or obvious demarcation lines.

We will begin with a consultation to discuss your desired appearance and results. We will also select your color choice and lip shape.

Next, the technician numb the area with a topical anesthetic.

Now the technician will begin applying the tint to your lips by using a PMU machine. She will create thousands of tiny dots to deposit the pigment and gradually build color.

Like with all PMU procedures, you will need a touch-up to enhance your results and ensure the longevity of your treatment.

PERMANENT LIP COLOR TOUCH UP

This is for your second appointment getting this procedure done that is very important and required! Having a second touch-up appointment helps ensure your pigment and lip shape will last you until you are required to complete your 1-2 year touch up. This appointment is similar to your first, your technician will draw your shape, you can adjust or fix it, they customize the color to what you desire, and then they repeat the process again. This service takes roughly two and a half hours to complete with your Semi-Permanent Makeup Technician.

How should I prepare for my lip blushing appointment?

-Gently exfoliate your lips and keep them well-moisturized in the days leading up to your appointment. Use a hydrating lip balm, lip oil, or chapstick as much as possible to keep your lips soft and supple. Dry or chapped lips can make it challenging for the PMU artist to insert pigment effectively, as we use the thinnest 1-point needle. If your lips are not well-prepared, you may experience increased sensitivity, and the pigment may not heal properly.

-If you’re prone to cold sores, it’s essential to take an antiviral medication 2-3 days before your appointment. This helps prevent any outbreaks that the procedure may trigger.

How long does it take to heal after lip blushing?

Initial healing typically takes 5-10 days, during which you may notice some dryness, light flaking, and gradual color changes as the pigment softens from a darker shade to a subtle, natural hue. The full results will settle in around 4-6 weeks as the color fully stabilizes.

How often will I need touch-ups?

Lip blushing results can last 1-3 years, depending on skin type and lifestyle. A touch-up session is usually recommended 6-8 weeks after the initial appointment, and annual touch-ups help maintain color.

Does it help to make my lips to look fuller?

Lip blushing can help your lips appear fuller! While it doesn’t physically add volume like fillers, the technique enhances your natural lip shape and defines the edges, creating the illusion of fuller, balanced lips. Our artists carefully choose the right shade and application technique to give you a soft, plump look that complements your natural beauty. However, if your lips are very thin, we recommend starting with fillers for the best results, as lip blushing alone will not add volume.
